Braga is one of the oldest cities of Portugal, called Bracara Augusta in the Roman times. Walking Tour at Braga old town, admiring some noble houses and historical buildings, such as the Palacio do Raio, the Theatro Circo, the Arco da Vila, the beautiful Santa Barbara Garden with the Archbishop’s Palace.
Visit to the Cathedral, the oldest one founded in Portugal in the 12th Century, with an amazing interior and to the lovely Manor House of Biscainhos, a small Museum of Decorative Arts.

Its historical centre has been recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.Walking Tour seeing the former Castle, the granite houses, with graceful iron balconies, the lovely narrow streets and squares.Next driving back to Braga, stopping for a visit to the impressive Bom Jesus Baroque Sanctuary:the magnificent staircase, with its statues and fountains, the incredible hydraulic funicular, the Gardens.
Day Tour to the Douro Valley, one of the most beautiful regions of Portugal.Drive to the charming city of Amarante, by the Tâmega River: the lovely balconied houses, bridge and the impressive São Gonçalo Monastery.Next drive to the Douro Wine Region seeing some of the most beautiful landscapes in the country: the vast vineyards on terraces.
