Lung Interstitial Diseases (ILD) affect more than 600 million people worldwide, representing a huge global health problem. There is growing evidences that processes and molecules critical for normal lung development are also important for tissue homeostasis, as well as crucial for disease aetiology and tissue repair and remodelling. In this way, the main goal of this course is to give an integrated and dynamic view of lung biology, from its physiology to ILD pathogenesis, going in the current standard and challenges of ILD treatment.
