The School of Medicine of the University of Minho took part in Universidade Portas Abertas (UPA) 2026, an annual initiative that invites secondary school students to discover first-hand the academic programs and activities developed by the University of Minho.
During the event, the School of Medicine welcomed numerous visitors interested in learning more about teaching and research in the field of health. The participation provided an opportunity to showcase different dimensions of the school’s activities, from scientific research projects to the practical training methodologies that are part of the academic pathway of future doctors.
The initiative also served as an opportunity to answer questions and share experiences with students considering a career in medicine, providing direct contact with the institution’s academic and scientific environment. The School of Medicine thanked all the participants who visited its space during the event, highlighting the interest, curiosity and enthusiasm shown by the young visitors.
Participation in Universidade Portas Abertas therefore reinforced the institution’s commitment to bringing the school community closer to higher education and to showcasing the work carried out in medical education and biomedical research in Braga.
