Selection/Ranking Criteria

Candidates will be ranked in descending order of their application score. This score has the following classification components, evaluated on a scale of 0 to 200, rounded to the second decimal
place:

i) Intermediate Classification (CI) = 0.5 x S + 0.5 x P
|
| |
| | where: S = secondary education or equivalent classification; P = classification obtained in the entrance exams or equivalent, or in the exams held at UMinho, with a minimum score of 100 in the scale 0-200.

Holders of a Portuguese secondary education diploma: The exam classification corresponds to the average score obtained in the three entrance exams, (02) Biology and Geology, (07) Physics
and Chemistry, and (16) Mathematics.
- Holders of the ENEM: The Intermediate Classification (CI) corresponds to the average score obtained in the Natural Sciences and their Technologies and Mathematics and their Technologies sections, converted to the Portuguese grading scale.
- Holders of non-Portuguese secondary education qualification: The exam classification corresponds to the average of the classifications of the exams considered equivalent, converted to the Portuguese scale.
- Candidates taking the UMinho exams: The exam classification corresponds to the average score obtained in the Physics and Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology-Geology exams.

ii) Interview (E):

Candidates with the highest Intermediate Classification (CI) are admitted to an online Interview (E), conducted by a jury appointed by the Scientific Council of the School of Medicine. The
following criteria will be evaluated on a scale of 0 to 200:
- Interest and motivation (40%);
- Communication and critical analysis (40%);
- Knowledge of the profession (20%).

Final Classification (CF) = 0.7 x CI + 0.3 x E

| | The application score corresponds to the Final Classification (CF), and the candidate must obtain a minimum of 100.00 points to be considered admitted or placed on the reserve list. |
