The 7th Epidemiology course will be held from November 20th 2022 to December 15th 2023 and is divided in 3 modules. Click here to download the preliminary programme.


MODULE 1: EPIDEMIOLOGY AND CLINICAL RESEARCH (EPIC)
 
Module one will focus on epidemiological and statistical training, which will empower students to carry out good clinical research. Training sessions will be held with formal lectures and problem-based exercises. Students will be encouraged to write a scientific manuscript to be presented at the end of the module.

MODULE 2: EVIDENCE-BASED PRACTICE (EBP)
 
The module is meant for health care practitioners and will provide a basic introduction to the principles of Evidence-Based Practice (EBP). EBP refers to the integration of clinical expertise, patient values, and the best research evidence into the decision making process for patient care. The module will feature a brief introduction to systematic reviews and meta-analysis procedures.

MODULE 3: GLOBAL HEALTH AND HEALTH SYSTEMS (GHHS)
 
Module three will focus on Global and Population Health, Health Systems, Health Economics, and Epidemiology of communicable and non-communicable diseases. Learning and teaching will be based in formal lectures, problem-based activities and individual learning.
